''The Woodkin EP, a live-in-the-studio instrumental collaboration between guitarists David 'Yimkin' Lintern and James 'Woodbrook' Weaver, both artists associated with the more left-field musical evenings at St Leonard's Rooms venue. After the harsh collisions of scrapes and clangs in lead track Mont E, the EP drifts into rather ambient territories, with the pair constructing gentle soundscapes from their simple looped circles of notes and softly buzzing frets. Although not an urgent listen, these accessible
recordings are a rewarding investigation into the region's fringe music.''
